One of dropship360's key facets is its ability to assist in managing back order issues.
The Default Supplier is an option to help route and manage back orders to avoid unnecessary hassles when it comes to out-of-stock inventory.
Located under dropship360 > Configuration/Setup you can choose to enable a Default Supplier.
Usually if an out-of-stock item is purchased it will be sent to the Back Order status and a Cron Job will run every 15 minutes (or more/less depending on your configurations) to search for updated inventory. The Default Supplier configuration sends all ordered out-of-stock items to this selected Supplier. The Default Supplier will handle this order when inventory becomes available.
If you receive inventory for a product from a supplier that is not your Default Supplier you can move the item status to Reprocess and the Cron Job will run again as it did when the order was first submitted. The logic will find this inventory and source to this supplier.
